XX wieku pracował dorywczo jako fotograf zakładowy w Zakładach Zmechanizowanych Sprzętu Domowego "Polar" Od lat 70. XX wieku pracował w Operze Wrocławskiej, gdzie był wiolonczelistą. Z własnej inicjatywy dokumentował fotograficznie życie wrocławskiej Opery.
