Absolwentka Filologii Polskiej na Uniwersytecie Warszawskim (1956) i studiów reżyserskich w Państwowej Wyższej Szkole Teatralnej w Warszawie (1962).
Debiutowała w warszawskim Teatrze Atenum w 1961 r., w latach 70. związana z Teatrem Telewizji i Teatrem Polskim w Warszawie.
1980-1983 - dyrektor Lubuskiego Teatru im. Leona Kruczkowskiego w Zielonej Górze, w latach 1983 - 1996 dyrektorka Teatru im. Horzycy w Toruniu.
1997 - 1998 Dyrektor Starego Teatru w Krakowie.
1999 - 2012 Dyrektor Wrocławskiego Teatru Współczesnego im. Edmunda Wiercińskiego.
